The Aurea Porta Friends of the Arts Foundation invites you to the musical performance Schaeffer's Deliberations. This unique journey following in the footsteps of one of Poland's most versatile artists, Bogusław Schaeffer, will take place on September 20, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kazimierz Wiłkomirski Music School Complex in Elbląg (91 Romualda Traugutta Street). This interactive event offers a moment to escape daily life and immerse yourself in a world full of unrestrained imagination. Admission is free!
During the performance, directed by Magdalena Małecka-Wippich, the audience will have the opportunity to participate in the creative process and help shape an atmosphere that is somewhat surreal and full of the humor characteristic of Schaeffer's works.
Guiding the audience through this creative space will be actors Izabella Bukowska-Chądzyńska and Waldemar Barwiński, accompanied by recognized musicians: the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra conducted by Sebastian Perłowski, and soloists Mateusz Adamczyk (violin), Krzysztof Nowakowski (percussion, water bowls), Bartosz Kalicki (piano, electronics), and Piotr Zaufal (bass guitar, arrangements).
As part of the celebration of the Master’s 95th birthday, the Schaeffer’s Deliberations performance is part of the 16th edition of the "Schaeffer’s Era" Festival.
The project is co-funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage through the National Centre for Culture: Culture – Interventions (2024).
