Competition for doctoral dissertations on Polish music

The Institute of Music and Dance invites you to take part in the competition for doctoral dissertations on Polish music. The aim of the competition is to promote and popularize scientific achievements in Polish music, as well as to encourage research related to Polish music in academic circles.

Doctoral dissertations defended in the period from 1 January 2010 to the date of application deadline may be submitted to the competition. All works have to meet the following criteria:

• their subject is Polish music;

• they do not concern music performance issues;

• they are consistent with the methodology of scientific research in the humanities.

Works should be sent to the address of the Institute of Music and Dance (8 Aleksandra Fredry Street, 00-097 Warsaw). The submission deadline is 30 November 2020.
