The "New Constellations" Composition Competition, organized as part of the "Art Mintaka" Christmas Festival, is open to Polish creators born on or after January 1, 1996. The competition is not anonymous. The deadline for submitting scores is November 4, 2026.
The subject of the competition is a piece for flute and cello with a duration of up to 7 minutes.
The winning composition will be premiered on December 12, 2026, during this year's "Art Mintaka" Festival in Bydgoszcz. It will be performed by artists specializing in new music: flutist Alicja Molitorys and cellist Antoni Majewski. The winner will also receive a cash prize of PLN 2,000.
An audio and video recording of the winning piece will be produced by Kamil Kęska—one of the top sound engineers, known for his work at the "Warsaw Autumn" and "Sacrum Profanum" festivals—and subsequently published on the foundation's YouTube channel.
The competition is held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Composers' Union.
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
