During the next chamber concert on the 27th of January, 2023 at 19.00 at the Lublin Philharmonic, as part of the ‘Polish Music Scene’ project of the National Institute of Music and Dance, masterpieces of Polish music will be performed in the interpretations of artists representing different generations and different styles.
The beauty of Polish music will shine in the warm and deep timbre of the viola and in the company of the piano, rich in various sounds. It's all performed by Katarzyna Budnik, awarded in 2024 ‘Fryderyk’ for the solo album ‘Viola Recital’ and Grzegorz Mania, a valued pianist and chamber musician.
We will hear sonatas for viola and piano by Wojciech Gawroński, Philipp Scharwenka and Mieczysław Wajnberg, Serenade in G major by Mieczysław Karłowicz and Zygmunt Stojowski's Fantasy op. 27.
