On the 25th and 27th of November, 2022, concerts as part of the official tour of the winners of the 16th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition will take place at the Opole Philharmonic. The Competition was organized by the Wieniawski Society in co-operation with the National Institute of Music and Dance and funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Qingzhu Weng and Meruert Karmenova will perform with the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Przemysław Neumann.
On Friday evening, November 25, Qingzhu Weng, winner of the 3rd prize, will perform Henryk Wieniawski's Violin Concerto No. 2in D minor, and on Sunday, November 27, Meruert Karmenova, winner of the second prize, will perform Violin Concerto in D major by Johannes Brahms.
