The motto of the 9th edition of the Katowice Culture Nature Festival, which will take place from 10-16 May 2024 at NOSPR, is 'Music of the Spheres': together with the artists, we will explore how the universe and music resonate with harmony and mathematical order.

We will hear, among others, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki's Symphony No. 2 'Copernicus' or Gustav Holst's symphonic poem Planets, and the brightest point in the festival sky will be a musical encounter with the Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by the rising star of world conducting Klaus Mäkelä; on the programme - Anton Bruckner's monumental Symphony No. 5 in B flat major.

In addition to concerts of classical music, there will also be an event with music in a slightly lighter, jazz version - a concert featuring the Joey Alexander Trio (for the first time in Katowice).

Harpists from Poland and Costa Rica - Juliusz Wesołowski and Carlos Roberto Peña Montoya - will perform on the stage of the Opole Philharmonic on the 10th of May, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. accompanied by the symphony orchestra conducted by Wojciech Rodek. They will perform exquisite works by composers of various eras.

Two harps were taken up by the contemporary Polish composer, Maciej Małecki. Concertino in the old style for two harps and string orchestra fits into the postmodern trend of musical creativity; we also find references to old styles.
