From Benjamin Britten and Francis Poulenc to Maciej Małecki. The next concert of the Polish Radio Choir from the "Navigatio" series will take place on 30 June 2020 at 7.30 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Polish Radio Choir and Polish Radio S.A. YouTube channels and –  a day later –  on Polish Radio Channel 2.

The Polish Radio Choir inaugurated its new concert series "Navigatio" – currently held online due to the pandemic – a few weeks ago with a concert entitled "Navigatio. Amor. Chopin's Birthday". The motto of the series refers to the Latin word for travel, journey, which is a metaphor of life. During the upcoming concert "Navigatio. Ars. Ut oratio sit domina harmonie" the Choir under the direction of its artistic director Maria Piotrowska-Bogalecka will perform works inspired by the poetry of Robert Herrick, George Crabbe, John Clare, Guillaume Apollinaire, Paul Éluard, Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer and Czesław Miłosz. We will hear choral works of Ernest Krenek, Benjamin Britten, Francis Poulenc, Pēteris Vasks, Camille Saint-Saëns and Maciej Małecki. The concert will also feature a selection of poems presented by an actor of the Stary Theatre in Kraków, Radosław Krzyżowski.

A new concert series "Pianokrąg" will be inaugurated by pianist and arranger Bartek Wąsik on 28 June at 6.00 p.m. in the Sculpture Park in Królikarnia. The programme of four chamber meetings will include compositions by Max Richter, Radiohead, Philip Glass and Wąsik himself.

On the one hand, the name of the series refers to the word horizon – the line at which the earth's surface and the sky appear to meet. On the other hand, it introduces the idea of ​​participating in a circle, in a community, in this case gathered around one instrument – the piano.

The programme of the series includes enchanting miniatures by Max Richter, original arrangements of Radiohead's songs, mesmerizing compositions by Philip Glass, and finally the premiere of the solo project of Bartek Wąsik. The pianist will perform in the Sculpture Park in Królikarnia, where the audience will be able to listen to the concert while walking around the park, sitting or lying on the grass and maintaining the social distance.

All concerts will be streamed live by the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute (FINA) on its Facebook page, and the recordings will be then available on the Ninateka website.

The 11th11th Philippe and Xaver Scharwenka Festival will take place at the Górka Castle Museum in Szamotuły between 27 June and 31 August 2020.

Due to the epidemiological situation, the organizers have made every effort to ensure that this important summer event in Greater Poland region is safe for the public. Festival concerts will be broadcast live on the Pro Cello Foundation Facebook page.

The programme of the event includes compositions by Scharwenka brothers and chamber music masters: Fryderyk Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, as well as Edvard Elgar, Johannes Brahms and Sergei Rachmaninoff. The final concert will be accompanied by the promotion of the book Franz Xaver Scharwenka. The Sounds of my Life – Musician's Memories. Admission to all concerts is free.

The Festival will also feature the 16th Cello Master Course. Classes will be held at the Tadeusz Szeligowski Primary Music School No. 2 in Poznań and online with teachers residing abroad.

The Stanisław Moniuszko Warsaw Music Society and Radziejowice Castle invite you to a series of summer concerts that will take place from 27 June to 15 August 2020 in Radziejowice.

The concerts with the audience will be streamed online. Among the performers of the inaugural "Chamber Masters' Concert" on 27 June at 7.00 p.m. will be world-famous Polish musicians: violinist Konstanty Andrzej Kulka and cellist Tomasz Strahl. They will present Polish Caprice by Grażyna Bacewicz, Caprice No. 1 by Karol Lipiński, Sei capriccios by Henryk Hubertus Jabłoński, Sonata-fantasia by Maciej Małecki, as well as Duo in C major for violin and cello by Ludwig van Beethoven, Passacaglia in G minor by Johan August Halvorsen and Hungarian Dances by Béla Bartók.

The following concerts will feature pianists Janusz Olejniczak, Paweł Kowalski and Hanna Holeksa, violinist Katarzyna Duda and actor Jarosław Gajewski. We will hear works by Fryderyk Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Karol Szymanowski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Ludwig van Beethoven, as well as fragments of John Paul II's 10th encyclical Veritatis splendor.

The 24th "Nova Music and Architecture" International Festival will highlight interesting elements of Toruń architecture by running artistic events in various parts of the city. 16 different projects will be held between 26 June and 5 September: symphony and chamber concerts, a film projection with live music and a photo exhibition.

The idea of ​​the Festival, which is organized by the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, is to present music in both the historical and modern interiors of Toruń architecture. This year's edition will feature concerts combining symphony and popular music, among others "One, Two, Three Symphonic", "Beethoven Electric 2D", concerts commemorating such important events as the 100th birth anniversary of Pope John Paul II, the 100th anniversary of the Miracle on the Vistula, the Polish Army Day and the 100th anniversary of Toruń's return to free Poland. The programme will include well-known works by Edvard Grieg, George Bizet, Gioachino Rossini and Giuseppe Verdi as well as compositions of Polish composers: Mikołaj from Kraków, Jan Podbielski, Fryderyk Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Mieczysław Surzyński, Gustaw Roguski, Karol Szymanowski, Wojciech Kilar, Krzysztof Baculewski and Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil. We will also witness the first performance of Iwona Kisiel's Once Upon the See 2 for 2 flutes and harpsichord. Violin recitals will be a unique opportunity hear the winners of the 5th Karol Lipiński International Violin Festival and Competition: Elias David Moncado and Robert Łaguniak. The festival finale will feature opera works performed by outstanding Lithuanian soloists and the Toruń Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dainius Pavilionis.
