The Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Composers’ Union invites audiences to a concert on November 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM, as part of the 100th Anniversary Festival of the Polish Composers’ Union. The program includes several world premieres written especially for this occasion — including four concertante works performed by outstanding soloists. They will be accompanied by the Sinfonietta Pomerania Orchestra under the direction of its artistic director Tadeusz Dixa, performing in the Concert Hall of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Admission is free!
“We have focused on the diversity of aesthetics proposed by composers representing several generations, whose interests range from new interpretations of the great classics to the latest sound experiments aimed at expanding the sonic imagination — both their own and that of the listeners,”
says Andrzej Dziadek, President of the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Composers’ Union.
The concert will feature compositions by Krzysztof Olczak, Piotr Jędrzejczyk, and Leszek Kułakowski, written in earlier years and now established in the regular concert repertoire. The program also includes several new works composed especially for this event by Anna Pęcherzewska-Hadrych, Tadeusz Dixa, Adam Diesner, and Andrzej Dziadek himself.
Solo parts in the concertante works will be performed by acclaimed artists:
Rafał Jędrzejewski (flute), Andrzej Szadejko (organ), Andrzej Wojciechowski (clarinet), and Paweł Zagańczyk (accordion).
