Outstanding female artists from Poland and abroad will perform across five concerts in the historic interiors of the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec. The 3rd edition of the Tyniec Chamber Recitals – a festival that merges classical music, chamber pieces, and jazz – will run from July 5 through August 30, 2026. All concerts are open to the public and admission is free.
The theme of this year's edition is "Women in Music". The program highlights their presence in various roles—as performers, interpreters, and composers. The audience will have the opportunity to hear both well-known contemporary artists and works by female creators who have left a lasting mark on the history of European music.
"The Tyniec Chamber Recitals were born from the need to create a space where music can resonate in a focused way, close to the listener. Tyniec provides the perfect conditions for this—its history, space, and atmosphere encourage attentive listening. We dedicate this year's edition to women who help shape the world of music as performers, interpreters, and composers", says Paweł Czarakcziew, the festival director.
The concert series will open with a piano recital by Leonora Armellini, the 5th prize winner of the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. In the following weeks, the audience will hear performances by Justyna Stanek and Monika Kruk, Anna Maria Niemiec and Piotr Kościk, Aga Zaryan and Szymon Mika, as well as Agnieszka and Aleksandra Świgut.
The repertoire features works by composers such as Clara Schumann, Mélanie Hélène "Mel" Bonis, and Grażyna Bacewicz. Alongside classical music, audiences will also enjoy jazz performed by Aga Zaryan and Szymon Mika.
The festival is organized by the Music Collective Association (Stowarzyszenie Kolektyw Muzyczny) and the Podgórze Cultural Center. The co-organizers of the event are the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec, the "Chronić Dobro" Foundation, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow.
The project is co-funded by the Małopolska Region.
