The Poznań Contemporary Music Foundation invites you to participate in the 1st International Andrzej Dobrowolski Composition Competition. The subject of the competition is a composition for oboe with electronics, with a duration between 5 and 8 minutes. The deadline for submitting applications is April 3, 2025.
The competition is open to everyone, regardless of age. Only anonymous works that have not been previously awarded, published, or publicly performed may be submitted.
The following monetary prizes will be awarded to the winners:
The compositions will be evaluated by a jury consisting of: Panayiotis Kokoras (Greece/USA), Alla Zagaykevych (Ukraine), Lidia Zielińska, Dariusz Mazurowski, and Natalia Kok (Poland).
The finalist works will be performed during the 54th edition of the "Poznańska Wiosna Muzyczna" Festival on April 29 at the "Zamek" Cultural Centre in Poznań, with the participation of Natalia Kok – a Polish oboist specializing in contemporary music performance.
The competition is under the patronage of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME) and the Electroacoustic Music Studio at the Poznań Academy of Music.
