We invite you to participate in the 1st Zenon Feliński Violin Competition which will take place from May 22-25, 2025. The competition is organized by the Music School of 1st degree No. 1 in Cracow and the Academy of Music in Cracow. Applications can be submitted from February 1, 2025, to May 6, 2025.
The competition is open to students from violin classes of primary and secondary music schools, as well as general secondary music schools. It is a single-round competition and will be held in five age categories.
The organizers have prepared the following prizes for the laureates:
A violin – the Grand Prix prize, funded by the collector of antique instruments, Robert Pałys
Prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age category, funded by partners and sponsors
A special prize in honor of Zenon Feliński for the best performance of a work by a Polish composer from the 20th or 21st century
A special prize in the form of a professional film presenting the performer’s profile for their promotional purposes. The film will be produced by Kontakt Media film studio in Kraków.
The participants will be judged by a jury consisting of: Prof. Wiesław Kwaśny, Prof. Marcin Baranowski, Prof. Łukasz Błaszczyk, Prof. Agata Szymczewska.
The competition is held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of the City of Cracow, Aleksander Miszalski, the National Centre for Culture, and the National Institute of Music and Dance.
