From October 4-6, 2024, the next edition of the Auksodrone festival will take place at the Mediateka in Tychy. The main organizers and stars of the event are the musicians of the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, conducted by Marek Moś. Alongside them, distinguished musicians from both classical and jazz stages will perform the world premieres of the latest works by Polish composers.
For the first time, another musical drama by Aleksander Nowak, Febra arktyczna. Comedia harmonica with a libretto by Marcin Wicha, will be presented on October 5, performed by the combined ensembles of the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy and Capella Cracoviensis. The work was funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the "Composer Commissions" program, carried out by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
On the same day, a monographic concert will be held in celebration of Paweł Szymański's 70th birthday.
The program will also feature improvisations by Marek Pospieszalski, who will premiere the AUKSO-commissioned composition Nadnaturalny, as well as improvisations by Grzegorz Tarwid, Audrey Chen, and Qba Janicki.
Co-organizers of Auksodrone include Polish Radio Program 2 and Polish Music Publishing House. The festival's curator is Filip Berkowicz.
