For the 22nd time, the Polish Music Publishers invite music school teachers to the Music Education Day. This year’s congress will take place on October 17, 2025, at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Secondary Music School in Poznań. The organizers invite participants to workshops on instrument playing and ear training, as well as lectures addressing topics such as psychology, working with accompaniment, and collaboration between instrumental teachers and general music educators. Participation in Music Education Day is free, but the number of spots is limited. Registration is available on https://dem.com.pl/.
The workshops will be led by true experts – educators and artists from the Polish music scene, including Agata Szymczewska (violin), Marta Mołodyńska-Wheeler (piano), Grzegorz Frankowski (double bass), and Sławomir Cichor (trumpet).
During the workshops for general music subject teachers, the "worksheets for a single piece," an original method by Michał Moc for teaching ear training, will be presented. The methods of working with students and applying this technique will be discussed in detail by the author and Urszula Koza.
As part of the panels intended for all conference participants, regardless of specialization, valuable lectures are planned.
Joanna Łukasik will address psychological issues, especially those related to building relationships between teacher, student, and parent, and discuss how to talk about successes and difficulties in a constructive way. Monika Gardoń-Preinl will explore the role of the accompanist as an artistic partner and the principles of building a coherent interpretation. Michał Moc will talk about implementing collaboration between music theory teachers and instrumental instructors.
All the prepared lectures will be based on carefully selected pedagogical materials, including new publications from the PWM catalog, which will also be available for purchase.
