25th “Musical Gardens” Festival – Fireworks and Fanfares at the Royal Castle!
The 25th Jubilee Edition of the "Musical Gardens" Festival is titled "Fireworks and Fanfares." The festival’s program, taking place in the courtyard of Warsaw’s Royal Castle from June 29 to July 31, 2025, promises true musical fireworks and fanfares: concerts featuring stars of classical, traditional, and jazz music, as well as extraordinary screenings of musical performances. Over 30 events are planned!
Artists from around the world will participate in this year’s edition, including Sinfonia Varsovia conducted by Michał Klauza, Kazakh violinist Meruert Karmenova, winner of the 16th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań, the international ensemble L’Arpeggiata, outstanding Japanese pianist Hayato Sumino, world-renowned Polish baritone Artur Ruciński, soprano Gabriela Legun (winner of the 2024 Polityka's Passport award in the “Classical Music” category), Mateusz Deskiewicz, soloist of the Musical Theatre in Gdynia, and the first lady of Polish operetta, Grażyna Brodzińska.
The program also includes jazz and popular music (Aga Zaryan and the Silesian Big Band, Danuta Błażejczyk and the Chopin University Big Band), as well as folk elements. Thanks to the band Vołosi—masters of folk fusion—we will experience untamed improvisations. This year’s collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center will bring traditional Korean instruments of the ensemble NaMu to the festival stage.
Artists of the Opera Academy of the Grand Theatre – National Opera will create a unique evening full of nostalgia and charm from a bygone era, performing the most beautiful melodies of the interwar period, including works by Henryk Wars and Władysław Szpilman.
Thanks to Heroes Orchestra, music from video games, including compositions by Marcin Przybyłowicz and Mikołaj Stroiński, will sound like a symphony.
A group of renowned Polish virtuosos, together with legendary actor Daniel Olbrychski, will present a unique multimedia project with live-created visualizations that reinterprets Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons—marking the 300th anniversary of the work’s first publication and performance. New arrangements will also feature compositions by Wojciech Kilar, Johann Pachelbel, and the poetry of Agnieszka Osiecka.
Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, as part of the "Music" program implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
