The main theme of the 47th International Karol Szymanowski Music Festival in Zakopane, which will take place on July 20-28, 2024, will be "Young Poland / Young Europe". The core program of this year's edition consists not only of the compositions of the event's patron, but also of other members of the "Młoda Polska" group.
Karol Szymanowski's music will be shown in the context not only of Poland, but also of the world. Leading Polish artists and ensembles as well as foreign artists will come to Giewont, including: violinists Seina Matsuoka, Maria Sławek and Jakub Jakowicz, pianists Yuto Kiguchi, Andrei Gologan and Piotr Sałajczyk, baritone Hubert Zapiór, LutosAir Quintet, Tansman Trio, Silesian Quartet, Boarte Piano Trio and the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yaroslav Shemet.
On July 20, Zygmunt Krauze's author's evening will take place at the Orski Gallery. A meeting will be devoted to the works of Zygmunt Mycielski. Beata Bolesławska-Lewandowska, Prof. IS PAN, whose book entitled "Zygmunt Mycielski. Between music and politics" will be released soon (PWM).
Music will resound in the pearls of wooden architecture, with Szymanowski's beloved house - Willa Atma - and Czerwony Dwór at the forefront, as well as in Willa Oksza, Galeria Hasiora, Orski Gallery and Hotel Belvedere.
