5th International “Musical Eagles” Competition

The “Muzyka do potęgi” Foundation, the Arthur Rubinstein Łódź Philharmonic, and the Association of Authors ZAiKS invite you to participate in the 5th International “Musical Eagles” Competition. Within the Competition, awards are granted to artists and organizations related to the broadly understood field of classical music for outstanding artistic, scientific, and educational achievements in 2024. Awards will be given in ten categories. The deadline for submitting applications is August 10, 2025.

Eligible participants include creators, performing musicians, publishers, non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions, and higher music education institutions.

The total prize fund for the ten categories amounts to 22,500 PLN gross:

  • Phonographic record (Polish, international)
  • Composition (Polish, international)
  • World premiere (Polish, international)
  • Soloist (Polish, international)
  • Chamber ensemble (Polish, international)
  • Conductor (Polish)
  • Single-author scientific or popular-science publication (Polish)
  • Multi-author scientific or popular-science publication (Polish)
  • Music edition/publication (Polish)
  • Musical event (Polish, international)

The Association of Authors ZAiKS is a partner of the competition as well as the gala, during which a ZAiKS representative will present a special award – the "ZAiKS Association Award for a Young Generation Composer" worth 15,000 PLN gross.

Candidates will be evaluated by a jury appointed by the organizers, composed of: Prof. Elżbieta Aleksandrowicz, Dr. Miłosz Bembinow, Prof. Mariola Cieniawa-Puchała, Prof. Maciej Fortuna, Prof. Paweł Gusnar, Dr. Wojciech Kołaczyk, from the Academy of Arts in Szczecin, Dr. Ilona Kubiaczyk-Adler, Prof. Jarosław Mamczarski, Dr. Julita Przybylska-Nowak, from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, Prof. Paweł Przytocki, Prof. Elżbieta Rosińska, Prof. Marcin Stańczyk, Prof. Katarzyna Szymańska-Stułka, and Dr. Ewelina Zawiślak, from the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music (Competition Director).

The list of Competition Laureates will be announced on the website https://www.muzyczneorly.pl/ and on the Łódź Philharmonic website by September 7, 2025.

The awarding of statuettes and distinctions (gold, silver, and bronze) to the Laureates will take place during the gala on September 20 at the Łódź Philharmonic.

The competition partner is the Association of Authors ZAiKS.

The honorary patronage over the Competition is held by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The event is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the “Music” program, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
