Classical music at its finest returns with the 65th edition of the Music Festival in Łańcut, held from May 21 to June 11, 2026. As per tradition, the festival will take place in the Ballroom of the Łańcut Castle Museum as well as the Concert Hall of the Podkarpacka Philharmonic. The program features symphonic and chamber concerts, alongside operas and recitals with phenomenal artists from all over the world.
The stages will showcase both rising young talents and winners of prestigious competitions, as well as world-renowned stars. The lineup includes Jonas Kaufmann – widely regarded as one of the greatest opera singers of our time; Jakub Józef Orliński – a countertenor who enjoys immense acclaim from critics and audiences worldwide; and the legendary violinist Krzysztof Jakowicz, accompanied on piano by Robert Morawski. The program also features the "Lviv Virtuosos" Chamber Orchestra conducted by Serhiy Burko, the Podkarpacka Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the baton of David Giménez, the Calmus Ensemble vocal group, and Ayo – the celebrated German singer of Nigerian and Romani heritage.
The festival will open with the first Polish national opera, Misery Made Happy (Nędza uszczęśliwiona), performed by the artists of the Polish Royal Opera under the musical direction of Karol Szwech.
Tianyao Lyu – the winner of the 4th prize at the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (2025) – will perform a piano recital on May 24, presenting works by Fryderyk Chopin.
On May 30, Jakub Józef Orliński and pianist Michał Biel will perform in the Ballroom of the Łańcut Castle Museum. Their program will feature not only works by Baroque masters such as Georg Friedrich Händel and Henry Purcell but also compositions by Mieczysław Karłowicz and Tadeusz Baird.
Chamber virtuosos, the Atom String Quartet, will perform for the festival audience on May 31. Their program includes works by the most prominent Polish composers, including Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Fryderyk Chopin, all in unique arrangements by the ensemble’s members.
The recital program of Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha and Mariola Cieniawa on June 6 blends Wofgang Amadeus Mozart’s brilliant masterpieces with the poetic songs of Karol Szymanowski and Ludomir Różycki, as well as rarely performed works by Stefan Henryk Bereza.
The 65th edition of the Music Festival in Łańcut offers more than the main festival concerts; it also features a rich program of accompanying events. On May 19, the opening of the exhibition "65 Years of the Music Festival in Łańcut" will bring the festival's history to life, showcasing key archival photographs and memorabilia from past decades. Also Drupi and his band will perform the greatest Italian hits on May 22, and on May 27, a String Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Borzym will accompany Artur Andrus, Dorota Miśkiewicz, and Kuba Badach.
