As part of the 16th "Era Schaeffera" Festival, the Aurea Porta Foundation invites you to the multimedia happening Third Stream – a new fusion of jazz and classical styles, directed by Łukasz Czuj. On October 27, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Pin Up Studio (Nowogrodzka 84/86), world-renowned musicians and actors will perform musical works by Bogusław Schaeffer, along with music-vocal improvisations inspired by his compositions, blending jazz with classical music.

The script is also written by Łukasz Czuj, artistic director of the Horzyca Theatre in Toruń and the creator of over 50 theatrical performances and music shows. Czuj’s piece humorously explores the fundamental question: does the avant-garde still matter? Together with the performers, he will delve into timeless questions about the role of art, the identity of the modern artist, and the relevance of the avant-garde today.

The event will feature international artists such as: Elbląg Chamber Orchestra, led by the charismatic conductor Sebastian Perłowski, jazz quartet (Piotr Zaufal, Mateusz Adamczyk, Krzysztof Nowakowski, Bartosz Kalicki), vibraphonist Bernard Maseli, saxophonist Łukasz Poprawski, flutist Łukasz Długosz, vocalist Wojciech Myrczek, and beatboxer Andy Ninvalle.

In addition, renowned actors and dancers will enhance the performance with their artistic expression: Izabela Baran, Izabela Bukowska-Chądzyńska, Witold Jurewicz, and Paweł Zaufal.

The event is under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Adam Struzik, and the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.

The project is funded by the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, co-financed by the City of Warsaw, and also supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the "Music" program, implemeneted by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
