The "Muzyka do Potęgi" Foundation and Łódź Philharmonic invite you to the Gala ceremony of the prestigious awards of the 4th International "Muzyczne Orły" (Musical Eagles) Competition, which will take place on September 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the concert hall of the Łódź Philharmonic. The event will be hosted by Agata Kwiecińska. Admission is free!
Awards have been granted in 9 categories: Phonographic Record, Composition, World Premiere, Soloist, Chamber Ensemble, Conductor, Scientific or Popular Science Publication, Sheet Music Publication, and Musical Event. This year’s total prize pool amounts to PLN 22500.
The Authors' Association ZAiKS is a partner of the competition and the gala. During the event, a ZAiKS representative will present a special award—the "ZAiKS Award for a Young Generation Composer." The winner will be announced, and their composition will be performed by the Bacewicz String Quartet.
The gala will also feature a performance by the LLLeggiero Woodwind Trio, presenting Alexandre Tansman's Suite pour Trio d´anches. Additionally, Dr. Ewa Rzetecka-Niewiadomska, Professor at the Academy of Music in Łódź, will deliver a lecture on the role of talent, environment, and education in musical development.
