Two Katowice-based choirs will take part in the next edition of the concert series “Chór-Mistrzowsko” at the Silesian Philharmonic on June 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The Silesian Philharmonic Choir will be joined by the vocal ensemble Apertum Cor in a program full of spiritual depth, entirely dedicated to the theme of Pentecost, which falls on that day.
At 4:00 PM, the workshop "Self-Therapy for Vocal Hygiene" will be led by Izabela Ocean.
The Silesian Philharmonic Choir, under the baton of Jarosław Wolanin, will perform Come, Holy Spirit Op. 61 by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, a piece that leads listeners into prayerful reflection and captures the essence of a prayer to the Holy Spirit. The program will also include Regina coeli by Paweł Łukaszewski, Z całej głębi by Przemysław Szczotka, and works by Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen and Latvian composer Ilze Arne.
The vocal ensemble Apertum Cor, conducted by Kamil Gojowy, will perform compositions by Romuald Twardowski: Regina coeli and Alleluia.
Under the direction of Jarosław Wolanin, both ensembles will join forces to present two works from Henryk Mikołaj Górecki’s cycle From Church Songs: Your Honor and Glory and The Lord Christ Has Risen.
Organist Adam Eibin will also take part in the concert.
The concert is organized in cooperation with PWM Edition (Polish Music Publishers) as part of the TUTTI.pl project, which promotes the performance of Polish music.
