"Classics Across Poland": Karolina Mikołajczyk & Iwo Jedynecki in the Lublin Region

Duo Karolina Mikołajczyk & Iwo Jedynecki, winners of the 2023 "Polityka" Passport Award in the "Classical Music" category, will perform a series of unique concerts in the Lublin Region as part of the National Institute of Music and Dance's project "Classics Across Poland". The artists will appear on July 16, 2026, at 6.00 pm at the Municipal Culture Center in Żółkiewka, July 17 at 6.00 pm at the Tarnogród Culture Center, and July 18 at 7.00 pm at the Church of St. Adalbert and Our Lady of the Rosary in Nielisz. Admission free!

Praised by journalists for their "virtuosity and untamed imagination in selecting and creating a repertoire for the unconventional ensemble of violin and accordion", the duo will present their own arrangements of works by Fryderyk Chopin, Grażyna Bacewicz, Adam Jarzębski, Maria Szymanowska, Karol Szymanowski, Aleksander Tansman, Antonio Vivaldi, and Astor Piazzolla.

Through their work, the artists showcase the diverse faces of classical music and bring its beauty closer to audiences all around the world. They have performed recitals in 38 countries across five continents, promoting Polish music in such prestigious concert halls as Carnegie Hall in New York, Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore, Guangzhou Opera House, and Melbourne Arts Centre. The duo frequently designs new, theme-based concert programs tailored for specific events, as well as arrangements of rarely performed music by 20th-century Polish composers.
