On November 4, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the Warsaw Philharmonic, the winners of the 14th edition of the "Coryphaeus of Polish Music" award will be announced. The laureates, selected by the music community, will receive statuettes in the categories of "Personality of the Year," "Event of the Year," "Honorary Award," and "Discovery of the Year." This award recognizes achievements from the past artistic season for individuals, artist groups, and institutions involved in diverse forms and periods of Polish music.
Several ensembles will participate in this year's Gala, including the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yaroslava Shemet, the vocal group Art’n’Voices, Monika Borzym with her band, and the Special Quartet. Solo performances will feature Jakub Waszczeniuk (trumpet), Wojciech Niedziółka (violin), and Maciej Skrzeczkowski (harpsichord). Special guest DJ and composer Maciej Goliński, known to music fans as Envee, will also be present.
The program will include works by Bolesław Szabelski, Andrzej Panufnik, Henryk Wieniawski, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, and Jan "Ptaszyn" Wróblewski.
The event is organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance with funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
