Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
For the sixth time, the Polish Chamber Musicians’ Association invites you to the Jan Matejko House - a branch of the National Museum in Cracow. Outstanding performers, masterpieces of chamber music, and also premieres of new works will be presented at the Festival! From the 5th to the 29th of September, six concerts and two lectures will take place. The concerts will also be rebroadcast online on the YT SPMK channel. Admission to all events is free.
The idea of the festival is to restore traditions of salons from the 19th century, as well as to present the works of forgotten composers. The programme of the Festival encompasses works by among others Z. Noskowski, Z. Stojowski, K. Szymanowski, S. Kisielewski, G. Bacewicz, Z. Mycielski, J. Łuciuka, J. Nowakowski, P. Kędzierski, H. Kulenty, M. Pawełek, A. Ignatowicz-Glińska. Lectures will be given by Dr. Agnieszka Draus and Dr. Maciej Negrey.
The festival is co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the ‘Music’ programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance. The project was carried out with the financial support of the Małopolska Voivodeship.
