Cracow | Korea-Poland. Music inspired by tradition
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
Arts Council Korea and the ‘Porta Musicae’ Artistic Association invite you to a special concert entitled ‘Korea-Poland. Music inspired by tradition’ on the 30th of July at 7 p.m. It will be an extraordinary meeting of two cultures - a musical dialogue of artists from the Republic of Korea and Poland.
The contemporary Korean composer, Gyungeun Lee, wrote music inspired by two cultures - she dressed traditional Korean rhythms and melodies in the musical garments of traditional Polish dances. All songs will be premiered during a concert in Cracow. It will be a unique opportunity to hear traditional Korean instruments live: Piri, Gayageum and Haegeum.
