The third multidisciplinary event series "Dialogues - Musical Meetings in Historical Artistic Studios" will take place from October 10 to December 12, 2024, featuring seven intimate concerts in extraordinary venues. Admission is free, but reservations are required.
The project brings visual arts closer to music, demonstrating how they can engage in dialogue and influence one another. These micro-concerts will be held in the studios of Warsaw-based artists, including painters, sculptors, fashion designers, and photographers.
This year, the music will resonate in the studios of distinguished artists such as Wanda Czełkowska, Zbigniew Maleszewski, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Krzysztof Lang, Leokadia and Jan Bohdan Chmielewski, Karol Tchorek, the Kann family, and Wanda and Józef Gosławski.
The specially curated programs, designed to reflect the space and the host artist's work, will be performed by Martyna Pastuszka, Tomasz Pokrzywiński, Dagny Sadkowska, Piotr Sałajczyk, the Poldowski String Quartet, and the reed trio R 3nsemblage. Project curator Maria Sławek will premiere a new piece for violin and electronics composed by Karol Nepelski.
The event is organized by the Warsaw Stage Society and funded by the Capital City Heritage Conservator's Office. Partners of the event include the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the Polish Sculpture Center in Orońsko, and the Museum of Warsaw.
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
