Folwark Autumn Festival – Music and Nature

The 1st edition of the Folwark Autumn Festival will take place from December 6 to 8, 2024, at the renovated 1933 Folwark Ruchenka. The intimate atmosphere, proximity to nature, and stylistic diversity will make the festival not only a musical event but also an unforgettable experience.

In the village of Ruchna, near Węgrów, where Maria Skłodowska-Curie's mother was born, world-renowned pianists will perform: Aleksander Dębicz – performer and composer, who effortlessly blends genres from classical music to jazz and contemporary film inspirations, Alexander Gadjiev – the second prize winner and recipient of the Special Prize for the best performance of a Sonata at the most recent Chopin Competition, Ilya Maximov – winner of the G.B. Viotti International Piano Competition in Vercelli, Italy, pianist and educator, and Julia Kociuban – the idea creator and artistic director of the new festival.

During the opening concert, Aleksander Dębicz will perform his own compositions, as well as original transcriptions and improvisations on themes from works by Chopin, Paderewski, and Kilar. Julia Kociuban and Ilya Maximov will perform as a duo, presenting works by Mozart and Stravinsky. The festival will culminate in a recital by Alexander Gadjiev.
