Fryderyk Festival Classical Music Gala 2026

For the first time in the history of the Fryderyk Awards, the Classical Music Gala, concluding the Fryderyk Festival 2026, will take place at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. The ceremony, held on April 24 at 7.00 pm, will reveal the winners in the classical music categories and will be accompanied by a special concert.

Music lovers gathered in the ORLEN Main Hall will listen the NFM ensembles: NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra conducted by Christian Danowicz, Wrocław Baroque Ensemble under the direction of Andrzej Kosendiak, NFM Choir, and the Lutosławski Quartet. While these ensembles shape the musical identity of this modern cultural institution on a daily basis, this evening they will come together to lead the audience through various eras, styles, and emotions.

The stage will also feature distinguished soloists with conductor Anna Sułkowska-Migoń leading the performers. We will hear soprano Dorota Szczepańska, who blends the precision of the Baroque style with contemporary, at times almost cinematic expression. The line-up of soloists also includes thirty-two-year-old organist Karol Mossakowski, called the "Chopin of the Organ" by the French daily Le Figaro. Tianyao Lyu, a young piano virtuoso and participant of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, will also perform. Fans of violinist Maria Sławek will once again have the opportunity to witness her tackle both classical masterpieces and lesser-known 20th-century works with equal passion. Finally, the duo of Małgorzata Kordylasińska-Pękala and Miłosz Pękala will introduce the audience to the world of percussion instruments, which are capable of not only defining rhythm but also telling entire musical stories.
