Polish and world premieres, musicians from the Baltic countries, South Korea, and Sweden as well as the leaders of Polish new music scene. The 7th edition of Festival "NeoArte – Synthesizer of Arts" will be held on October 25-27, 2018 in Gdańsk.
"NeoArte – Synthesizer of Arts" is a festival held in Gdansk, presenting the most interesting trends in contemporary music and art. It is a platform interconnecting artists from different cultural backgrounds and provenances, an event of intriguing and uncommon profile giving a chance for the contact with music and art as awell as a medium expanding new areas of human mind and enriching our world perspective. NeoQuartet, Polish string quartet specializing in performances of new music, is the initiator and originator of the festival.
Each concert of these year edition is planned as multi-disciplinary spectacle. During the majority of events the audience will be an active participant of the creative process. Starting from the inauguration, where NeoQuartet will present the second edition of the unique event called "Neo Electric Quartet" and Swiss artists Arturo Corrales and Emilio Guim will present their "Electric Primitivo" project, through the newest Korean art and presentation of performative music from Baltic countries in The Baltic Sea Culture Centre, finishing with the six hours-long final concert featuring the best European performers of contemporary music (Spółdzielnia Muzyczna, Kwartludium, Rei Munakata) and the performance of the newest multimedia compositions and sound installations by Wojtek Blecharz – this-year's Composer-in-Residence.
