On October 13, 2024, at 5:00 PM, in the concert hall of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (Okólnik 2, Warsaw), the Polish Society for Contemporary Music, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, will present one of its most unique projects, "Images of Warsaw". The compositions evoke a Warsaw that no longer exists – pre-war, former, almost phantasmagorical – and will be performed by the PTMW Chamber Ensemble under the direction of Sławek A. Wróblewski. Admission is free.
The project references, among other things, the Warsaw Uprising, which marked a dramatic turning point, dividing the city's history into two completely different eras. Each piece will be preceded by a brief historical introduction.
The concert is co-financed by the City of Warsaw as part of the project "Music and Creation – Concerts for the 100th Anniversary of the Polish Society for Contemporary Music."
The organizers also welcome music lovers with special needs – such information can be sent to
