Jelenia Gora | "Artist-in-residence": Sepia Ensemble at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic

A concert from the cycle "Zdrojowy Czwartek z Filharmonią – Współcześnie… Kameralnie" will take place on 12 April 2018 at 7.00 p.m. in the Zdrojowy Animation Theatre in Jelenia Gora. Sepia Ensemble will perform works by Polish contemporary composers.

The residence of the Sepia Ensemble is being organized by the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra in the season 2017/2018 as part of the program of the Institute of Music and Dance 'Artist-in-residence'. The residence began with a concert on 19 January, during which the ensemble premiered Tomasz Citak's Sinfonia concertante for violin, oboe, trombone, cello, piano and orchestra.

The concert on 12 April will be the last one during the residence. The programme includes: Ceci n'est pas une Balle by Compagnie Kahlua, Sun shadow VII for piccolo, oboe, clarinet and percussion by Wencheng Qin, At Radek's for clarinet, trombone, cello and piano by Paweł Mykietyn, Trio for clarinet, violin and piano by Eugeniusz Knapik, as well as Betelgeuse for violin, cello and piano by Marcel Chyrzyński and Entertainment Mazurkas for violin and cello Bartosz Smorągiewicz, which were created as part of the "Composition Commissions" programme.
