During the concert on 7 February 2020 at 7.00 p.m. Marcin Dylla – hailed by "The Washington Post" as one of the most talented guitarists in the world – will perform with the Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic under the baton of Tadeusz Wojciechowski.
The soloist has earned a great number of awards – in the years 1996–2007 he stood nineteen times on the top podium of the most prestigious international guitar competitions in Europe and the United States. He is also appreciated by audience and critics – he was granted a “gold guitar” musical critics’ award for the best coming young guitar player at the 7th International Guitar Convent in Alessandria.
The programme of the concert will include: Pavane on the Death and Resurrection of Certain Illusions for solo guitar by Witold Szalonek, Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo, and the Spanish Rhapsody by Maurice Ravel and his music for the ballet Dafnis and Chloe performed jointly by the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and Choir.
