FS

An evening full of sensuality, thrilling tango sounds and atmospheric bandoneon, which will be accompanied by singing, guitar and piano, will be provided to music lovers by the NFM Orchestra Leopoldinum: the ensemble together with Aleksandra Bugaj, Michał Nagy, Tomasz Pawłowski and Klaudiusz Baran will perform at the Silesian Philharmonic on 13 March 2020 at 07.00 p.m.

The programme of the concert will include Tango in D minor by Igor Stravinsky, the famous Por una cabeza by Carlos Gardel (brought back to life by Thomas Newman while creating music for the film Scent of a Woman), La cumparsita by Gerard Matos Rodriguez and tango works by Argentinian master Astor Piazzolla: Libertango, Oblivion, Café 1930, Fuga y misterio, fragments of the Maria de Buenos Aires opera and concerts (Aconagua for bandoneon and orchestra and Hommage à Liége for guitar, bandoneon and orchestra). There will be also compositions by the conductor-concertmaster of the orchestra, Christian Danowicz, as guests of the Silesian Philharmonic will play his Concerto grosso.

According to the leitmotif of the Philharmonic's anniversary season, every concert features a composition written by a composer related to Silesia. This time, it will be Rapsody for accordion by Andrzej Krzanowski and Grażyna Krzanowska.
