Katowice | Premiere of "Silesian Rhapsody" by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek

The Silesian Philharmonic joins the programme of the four-year celebration of the centenary of the Silesian Uprisings and the incorporation of a part of Upper Silesia to the Republic of Poland with a premiere of Silesian Rhapsody by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek. A special multimedia event will take place on 31 August 2019 at 9 p.m. at the Silesian Stadium.

The Silesian Rhapsody will be performed by the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and Choir conducted by Monika Wolińska. This multimedia project, presenting the latest symphonic piece by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, the winner of an Oscar award for Best Original Score to Finding Neverland, is said to be one of the biggest musical events of recent years. The event at the Silesian Stadium will be recorded and broadcast by television.
