On the 2nd of June, 2023 at 19.00 at the Silesian Philharmonic, we will have the opportunity to imagine one of the wonders of the world thanks to the Overture to Gioacchino Rossini's opera Semiramide. The concert for flute, saxophone and orchestra Archangels by Adam Wesołowski will take us to the world of celestial beings, and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Symphony No. 1 will let us learn about the early period of the genius composer's work. The Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic conducted by Marek Wroniszewski and the soloists Łukasz Długosz and Piotr Baron invite you to an evening of great impressions.
Adam Wesołowski's concerto for flute, saxophone and orchestra was premiered on the 3rd of December, 2022. In this colorful work, in which the composer used special articulation techniques, we will hear not only the instrumental layer, but also the vocal layer, reminiscent of angelic choirs: musicians of the orchestra will sing!
