On November 7-10, 2018, the Academy of Music in Kraków will host the 12th International Percussion Festival "Sources and Inspirations".

The Festival will begin with a concert of two percussion groups: the Krakow Amadrums and the percussion group of Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg under the direction of prof. Radosław Szarek. The programme will include, among others, Siderals by Marta Ptaszyńska for two percussion quintets and a light projection.

During the next days we will hear many guests from abroad: Ernesto Simpson, a Cuban drummer permanently living in London, performing with a whole range of jazz musicians, Amir Bresler and Liquid Saloon from Tel Aviv, Vladislav Nadishana Trio from Berlin, and Mr. Savolainen Trio from Helsinki.

The final concert will be performed by percussion students of Polish music schools with a special guest, Dalbergia Duo – a duet of two percussion graduates of the Music Academy of Lodz and Krakow, which have recently been very successful in entering the international percussion scene. In addition, workshops will be held by artists performing at the festival.
