The final concert of the 11th "Wawel at dusk" festival will take place on August 25, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Arcaded Courtyard of the Wawel Royal Castle.
The programme of the final concert will include works by Fryderyk Chopin, Edward Elgar, Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Wojciech Kilar. Szymon Nehring, winner of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv (2017), will perform Polonaise in F sharp minor, Op. 44 by Fryderyk Chopin and – together with CORda Cracovia under the direction of Marek Moś – Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 17 by Ignacy Jan Paderewski, who was a composer, politician and diplomat. The programme will be complemented by two symphonic poems: Polonia by Edward Elgar (with quotes from Dąbrowski's Mazurka) and Krzesany by Wojciech Kilar.
