Two days, two programmes, four concerts – this is the musical sprint of Jurek Dybał and Sinfonietta Cracovia towards normality. After months of training, it is finally time to take off without sparing your strength and make up the remaining distance! On 23 and 24 June 2021, the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Krakow will be filled with live music, and two separate programmes will feature the most beautiful serenades – from Tchaikovsky to Penderecki.
Each day, the programme will be repeated at 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m., so that the Krakow audience, thirsty for sensations, could enjoy the music while maintaining the required physical "distance" and without having to race for seats in the concert hall.
The orchestra will perform Mieczysław Karłowicz's Serenade for string orchestra, Op. 2, Leoš Janáček's Suite for string orchestra, Edward Elgar's Serenade in E minor, Op. 20, Krzysztof Penderecki's Serenade as well as Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Souvenir d'un lieu cher for violin and orchestra, Op. 42, and Méditation and Serenade for string orchestra, Op. 48. Violinist Maciej Lulek will perform as the soloist.
