Laureates of the 6th Stefan Stuligrosz Polish Choral Art Grand Prix

From November 29 to December 2, 2024, the 6th Stefan Stuligrosz Polish Choral Art Grand Prix took place in Poznań. The jury of this "competition of competitions" awarded the Grand Prix, two special prizes, and an honorable mention.

The Grand Prix, with a prize of 25,000 PLN and a (passing) trophy, was awarded to the Chamber Choir of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, conducted by Magdalena Filipska. The winner of the Grand Prix received a nomination to participate in the Poznań competition thanks to their victory at the 23rd International Felix Nowowiejski Choral Music Festival in Barczewo. 
An honorable mention of 5,000 PLN was awarded to the "Luna Plena" Vocal Ensemble, conducted by Barbara Gajek-Kraska. 
The award for the best performance of a work by a Polish composer born after 1950, worth 5,000 PLN, for the piece Oj, lulaj, lulaj. Kołysanka dla nienarodzonego by Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk, was presented to the Gdańsk Medical University Choir, conducted by Błażej Połom. 
A special prize of 5,000 PLN was funded by Mr. Paweł Serda for the most interesting and diverse performance program, which was awarded to the Gdańsk Medical University Choir, conducted by Błażej Połom. 
The event attracted great interest from choral music enthusiasts who came to Poznań from all over Poland. The next edition of the Stefan Stuligrosz Polish Choral Art Grand Prix will take place next year, traditionally on the last weekend of November.
