Let's Celebrate 3rd May with Song

The 3rd May National Holiday is a special day that combines faith in freedom and independence and refers to the history of Polish statehood. This year, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir invites you to a joint celebration of the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution. The concert will be broadcast on YouTube at 12.00 p.m. 

The ensemble under the direction of Prof. Violetta Bielecka will open the event with the Polish Anthem. We will hear the most beautiful patriotic songs, including Święta miłości kochanej Ojczyzny by Wojciech Sowiński to the words of Ignacy Krasicki and Witaj majowa jutrzenko based on a poem by Rajnold Suchodolski.

The concert will end with The Third Millennium Anthem by the conductor, pianist, teacher and composer Mirosław Gałęski. Joanna Markowska (soprano) and Maciej Nerkowski (baritone) will perform as soloists, accompanied by Monika Bierć on the piano. The programme will be complemented by Polish poetry as interpreted by Rafał Supiński.
