modern?antiqua! 2021 – Academic Conference and Composers' Concert
The Composition and Theory of Music Student Research Association at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music invites you to participate in the project "modern? antiqua!" 2021 – an event focused on dialogue with early music in contemporary compositions, which will be held on 25-26 March 2021.
The project is aimed at both music lovers and researchers: experienced ones and those who are just beginning their careers. This two-day event will include an academic session and a composers' concert.
The National Student Academic Conference "About new-old music" will be held on 25 March on the MSTeams platform. It will be an occasion to exchange thoughts and reflections on the combination of the new and the old in music. All young researchers interested in this subject can participate in the conference. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 7 March 2021.
On 26 March, the "New Music for Old Instruments" Composers' Concert will be streamed online. The programme will include works written by students of composition at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, performed by the invited musicians specializing in early music performance.
