"Musician-in-Residence": new program of NIMiT

"Musician-in-Residence" is a new, nationwide educational program addressed to musicians. The aim of the program is to enable young instrumentalists to gain experience in professional orchestral groups - increasing their competences in playing in an ensemble, developing the ability to respond to sudden changes and work under pressure alongside professional and experienced orchestra musicians.

Several artistic institutions responded to the Institute's initiative to establish the "Musician-in-Residence" program and reported the possibility of implementing residencies for 80 musicians.

In the pilot edition of the program, young musicians will complete residencies in Polish philharmonic halls and orchestras, participating in the preparation of at least two concert programs and two concerts. The pilot edition of the program will include approximately 12 residencies.
