The project “NeoQuartet plays Dobrzyński” is the result of a collaboration between the Gdańsk-based ensemble NeoQuartet and composer Michał Dobrzyński. The renowned ensemble has recorded the complete works by Dobrzyński for string quartet and will present this program during five concerts taking place between December 18, 2025, and January 27, 2026. Each concert will be livestreamed online.
The album was released by one of the most renowned German record labels, NEOS Music. It includes, among others, compositions inspired by the works of German artist Gero Hellmuth.
The multimedia concerts “NeoQuartet plays Dobrzyński” will take place, among other locations, in Bydgoszcz (Academy of Music), Gdańsk (Academy of Fine Arts Patio), Lusławice (Penderecki European Centre for Music), Warsaw (Museum of Polish History), and Sejny (Borderland Centre). An integral part of the project are visualizations created by Gdańsk-based visual artist Filip Ignatowicz, inspired by the works of Gero Hellmuth. Artificial intelligence (AI) will play a significant role in the creation of the visual layer of the concerts. Until March 15, 2026, the Museum of Polish History will host a temporary exhibition dedicated to this artist.
