Minister of Culture and National Heritage Piotr Gliński announced the appointment of Daniel Cichy as new director of the PWM Edition.

Daniel Cichy is a musicologist and music journalist. He graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (where he also obtained his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Alicja Jarzębska) and Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg. He received the Ray E. & Ruth A. Robinson Musicology Award (2005), as well as scholarships of Deutscher Musikrat and Ernst-von-Siemens-Musikstiftung(2004/2005), "Polityka" weekly (2007) and Foundation for Polish Science (2009, 2010). For the past few years he has been employed at the PWM Edition, holding the post of editor in chief (since 2013) and deputy director (since 2016).
