In 2024, the Silesian Philharmonic will bid farewell to the year with New Year's Eve concerts on December 28-30, during which we will hear the most beautiful opera and operetta arias, as well as music by the Strauss family. The solo parts will be performed by recognized artists – soprano Joanna Kędzior and tenor Jacek Szponarski, with the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Czech maestro Marek Prášil.
The program will also include the Waltz Caton by Silesian composer Ludomir Różycki, a part of the third act of the opera Casanova. The piece is characterized by the lightness and elegance typical of waltzes, which perfectly fits the atmosphere of the opera, telling the story of the adventures of the famous Italian adventurer and seducer, Giacomo Casanova.
Emotion, amusement, euphoria, and a burst of energy – all of this awaits us in the Karol Stryja Concert Hall, from the first note to the last bars of the traditional “Radetzky March”!
