Operas on Screen

National Audiovisual Institute (3/5 Wałbrzyska Str.) in Warsaw will screen selected opera productions. The series will start with the screening of Elżbieta Sikora’s Madame Curie on January 20, 2016 at 6.00 pm.

The operas present various musical styles. Each screening will be followed by discussion with the production’s creators – composers, directors, librettists and scenopgraphers.

February 3 – Christoph Willibald Gluck Orpheus and Eurydice (Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera; dir. Mariusz Treliński)

February 17 - Georg Friedrich Händel Agrippina (dir. Natalia Kozłowska)

March 2 – Karol Szymanowski King Roger (Wrocław Opera; dir. Mariusz Treliński)

March 16 - Georg Friedrich Händel Orlando (dir. Natalia Kozłowska)
