The Opole Philharmonic invites you on 18 April 2021 at 6.00 p.m. to an online chamber concert "In the Land of Dances" performed by ACh Duo – the only harp-guitar duo active in Poland. The concert will be broadcast on the Philharmonic's website: https://filharmonia.opole.pl/.
The unusual combination of instruments and the original repertoire define ACh Duo’s uniqueness. The ensemble was founded in 2012 by guitarist Aleksander Pankowski vel Jankowski and harpist Noemi Hańczyk. The ACh Duo's repertoire includes compositions originally written for a guitar and harp duo as well as their own arrangements of music.
The upcoming concert will feature works by Fryderyk Chopin, Claude Debussy and Máxim Diego Pujol as well as pieces from ACh Duo's album Alla Polacca – the first Polish album with Polish music for a guitar and harp duo. The album title is inspired by the title of one of the movements of Alexandre Tansman's Suite in modo polonico, which is included on the album in an original arrangement for guitar and harp, made by the composer himself.
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
