Mieczysław Kominek has long been a central figure in the activities of the Polish Composers’ Union and the Polish Music Information Centre. It is thanks to his initiative that in 2025 we are celebrating the Centennial of the Polish Composers’ Union, revisiting the pre-war history of the Association of Polish Composers. Małgorzata Gąsiorowska, longtime editor at Polish Radio Channel 2, invites you on November 4, 2025, at 4:30 PM to the historic headquarters of the Polish Composers’ Union (Rynek Starego Miasta 27) for a meeting entitled: “The Most Beautiful of All is Polish Music.” Free admission!
Throughout his professional life, Mieczysław Kominek has devoted himself to the promotion of Polish music. The title of this event, drawn from an old publication by Józef Reiss, reflects that lifelong commitment. The meeting is part of the "Meetings at the Composers’" series.
In conversation with Małgorzata Gąsiorowska, Dr. Mieczysław Kominek will talk about his work, sharing memories, stories, and anecdotes about his collaboration with composers, musicians, and institutions of both Polish and international musical life.
