Poznań | "4 x piano" Anniversary Concert of the Piano Department

"4 x piano" is the title of a concert performed by all teachers of the Piano Department of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, which will take place on 9 October 2020 at 7.00 p.m.

Outstanding pianists will present solo pieces, works for four hands and two pianos as well as compositions for three pianos with percussion and for four pianos with orchestra, written especially for this occasion.

Alicja Kledzik, Joanna Marcinkowska, Anna Organiszczak, Małgorzata Sajna-Mataczyńska, Łukasz Byrde, Jacek Kortus, Bogumił Nowicki, Maciej Pabich, Cyprian Sekrecki, Piotr Szychowski, Przemysław Witek and Piotr Żukowski will perform works by Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Fryderyk Chopin, Karol Szymanowski, Aleksander Areński and Franz Liszt.

The concert will premiere two works by Polish composers: Leafless for three pianos and three percussions by Artur Kroschel and Ballad, Op. 9 for four pianos and orchestra by Adam Domurat. The group of performers will also include percussionists Piotr Sołkowicz, Piotr Szulc and Bartek Miler, as well as the CoOperate Orchestra conducted by Adam Domurat. The evening will be hosted by Piotr Niewiedział.
