Poznań | Concert inaugurating the Józef Madej Association

A unique concert of Polish music commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of Poznań University will take place on 6th June 2019 at the Runge College, University of Life Sciences in Poznań at 6.00 p.m. The concert will officialy inaugurate the Józef Madej Association and premiere Agata Jarecka's piece for clarinet and viola.

The main goal of the undertaking is to restore the memory of Poznań artists and lecturers influencing the development of Poznań Universities. During the concert, valuable works of Polish music literature will be presented, including compositions of Professor Józef Madej who rendered a great contribution to Poznań's musical life. In addition, the programme will include works by such composers as: Grażyna Bacewicz, Witold Lutosławski, Jan Adam Maklakiewicz, Stanisław Moniuszko, Olga Hans and Kazimierz Sikorski.

The concert will feature artists assocciated with the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań: Kamil Babka (viola), Maria Bielewicz (cello), Piotr Kosarga (violin), Paweł Kroczek (clarinet), Łukasz Krzemiński (oboe), Hanna Lizinkiewicz (piano), Maria Mikołajczak (soprano), Maria Rutkowska ( piano) and Aleksandra Rykowska (mezzo-soprano).
