The Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio under the baton of Agnieszka Duczmal will inaugurate the 53rd artistic season on 11 October 2020 at 6.00 p.m. in the Poznań University Hall. It will be the first concert with audience in the University Hall since the beginning of the pandemic.
The soloist of the evening will be an extremely talented pianist, Tomasz Ritter. He is a laureate of many prestigious awards. In 2011 he won the 9th Arthur Rubinstein Memorial International Young Pianist Competition in Bydgoszcz and has also received the Aniela Młynarska-Rubinstein Special Award, the Arthur Rubinstein Ruby Pin for artistic personality, the Pomeranian Philharmonic’s Symphonic Orchestra Award. In 2018, he received the Main Award at the 1st International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments in Warsaw. Jarosław Żołnierczyk, the concertmaster of the Orchestra, laureate of the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition, will also perform as a soloist.
The programme will include Concerto-Notturno, Op. 13 for violin and string orchestra by Mikołaj Piotr Górecki, Radif, suite on Iranian themes by Lev Knipper and Piano Concerto in E minor, Op. 11 by Fryderyk Chopin.
